I recently had photographed Matthew and Monique’s wedding at Ardoe House Hotel in Aberdeen.
I think most people who read my blog will realise that I love veils. Well, this veil was several metres long!
The day went really well with the sun shining and plenty happy faces. It really was a pleasure photographing the wedding of Monique and Matthew and I look forward to working on their photographs.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Scott and Pamela.
The ceremony was in Peterhead and we then headed to Aden Park for photos. The day started off with some seriously bad weather (seems to be a recurring theme this year) but it brightened up eventually (phew)…. : )
Pamela’s dress was lovely and I tried some different images with her veil.
Apologies if anyone has received spam from my email address. Not sure what has happened with it.
Just a reminder that my new email address is info@scotthogg.com
I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Chris and Claire at Elphinstone Hall in Aberdeen.
Thankfully the weather was kind to us!
With around 18 guests during the day it was a nice, small, intimate wedding.

After winning Wedding Photographer of the Year at the Scottish Master Photographer Association Awards I didn’t think things could get better.
I have found out that I’m a finalist in the wedding section for the National Kodak Wedding and Portrait Awards.
I’m the only Scottish based photographer to reach the first round of the finals so it’s amazing news!
The couple who are in the photograph shall be receiving a Kodak digital camera as a prize. If I win then the couple shall receive £1000 and I shall be Kodak Wedding Photographer of the Year. The awards ceremony will take place in Birmingham in October and it will be at this event that I will know the outcome.
I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Susan and John the other week.
The ceremony was at Cruden Bay Church and then the Palace Hotel in Peterhead for the reception.
We swung round to the lighthouse in Boddam for some group shots and shots of the couple. After that, the limo driver recommended a lovely spot with a stone seat overlooking the sea. Lovely location, especially with some moody clouds in the background.
Just to let you know that my new email address is info@scotthogg.com
I shall continue checking my old email address just incase I still get emails.
I have also won Classic Wedding Photographer of the Year for the 2nd year running.
There were hundreds of entries for the wedding categories so to come out on top is an absolute honour and a dream come true.
Thought I would share this lovely email…
“Dear Scott;
Eilidh & I just want to write you a few quick words to show our gratitude for the photographs you took at our wedding in the Balmoral Hotel on the 8th of May.
Eilidh & I spend much time deliberating over choosing a photographer as we wanted not only high quality images but some fun and life injected into them and boy did you deliver. Not only are your shots of excellent quality and full of the fun and life that we love about our relationship, but they were a joy to take. Throughout the entire day we felt like you were a friend not a ‘vendor’, a term that I hate by the way. We chatted, joked and had a great time; were completely at ease and never felt like our toes were been stepped on.
Thank you so much anyone would be privileged to have you photograph their wedding.
Lots of Love and Thanks
Patrick & Eilidh
Mr & Mrs McGrath”
